Sofia Vialpando

I am so excited to be a Teacher Candidate at Friends School! I grew up in Hermosa Beach, California, earned my undergraduate degree in Art Direction from Michigan State University, and now live in Colorado.

After spending a few years in the workforce, I took a year off and traveled to more than 20 countries across Europe and Asia. When I returned, I knew I wanted to combine my love of learning and creativity into a career in teaching. I spent the past year as a teaching assistant for 9th and 10th grade English at a Title I charter school in Los Angeles.

In my free time, I love creating graphic design projects, reading, and spending time with friends in the mountains!
