Welcome to Friends School.
This is a human-centered school, which means everything here is built around knowing children well. From the way we design our classrooms and student projects, to the time we spend outside and on trips near and far, and to the rituals we build together…all of it reflects a clear set of values about how children learn best and who they are becoming.
Our faculty bring deep knowledge and real care to this work. They pay close attention to each child, build lasting relationships, and create conditions where students can take intellectual risks, develop their own ideas, and grow into people who know how to think and how to contribute. The best teaching is mastery passed on, and Friends School’s teachers are masters of their craft.
We also believe that going deep into something is one of the most important things a young person can learn to do. Not covering everything. Not checking boxes. But caring about something enough to get genuinely good at it, to ask better questions, to stay curious when things get complicated. That is what we are building toward, and it shows up in everything we do.
Community is at the center of all of it. Friends students learn to listen, collaborate, and show up for each other. That does not happen by accident, but because the adults in their lives are paying attention and making intentional choices every day.
Come visit. See it for yourself.
I look forward to meeting you.

Our graduates leave Friends as curious, creative, collaborative, resilient, compassionate, advocates… and friends.
Friends School has been transformative for our son. Coming from public school, he went from a student/teacher ratio of 27:1 to 8:1. With cool project-based learning, we noticed he was immediately more engaged and positive about school. But the biggest payoff has been seeing him grow academically, emotionally, and socially. His teachers recognize his unique strengths, while nurturing him in weaker subjects, which ultimately fosters newfound confidence. When our son graduated, he and his classmates all stood up and gave speeches with jaw-dropping grace and poise that went with him into high school. We're so grateful for Friends School!

My children went all the way through Friends School!
Now that they are in high school and college, the core values of head, hand, heart, and the love of learning that the teachers emphasize in their programs continue to carry my kids through their academics and life.Parent of Alumni
My experience at Friends School was something that played a huge role in who I am today. Thanks to all of the amazing teachers, friends, and memories that I made there, my experience at Friends taught me the importance of being myself no matter what, and to always look on the bright side of things and have as much fun as possible. Growing up in such a supportive environment that was chock full of adventures made me appreciate where we live and the people that I’ve gotten to know, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
