Ellie Pell

I began my teaching career in restaurant management in Ithaca, New York. I moved to Boulder to help open a café downtown. I decided to get my master’s two years ago at the University of Northern Colorado and began teaching in the biology department, which is when I decided I would be a science teacher. I was a long-term substitute at Nevin Platt Middle School last year and taught both biology and forensics in the CU Summer of Discovery this past summer. I am entering the Friends Teacher Preparedness Program with the intent to teach middle school science. I have an undergraduate degree in exercise science and a master’s in biology.

In my spare time, I enjoy the local Boulder trails, frequent the public library, and am making my way through all the recipes on the New York Times Cooking app.

Challenging minds. Nurturing spirits. Honoring individuality.
