Mira Brooks

I’m honored to be a middle school teacher candidate at Friends School.

 

My path to the classroom has been anything but linear. Before delving into the corporate world across finance and consulting, I had my first taste of teaching through SAT prep and remedial education. It was the most fulfilling work I’ve done, and the pull to return never left me.

 

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University.

 

Outside the classroom, you’ll find me writing science fiction, working through my reading list, strength training, and studying languages. Curiosity is contagious, and I try to practice it every day.

 

I’m excited to bring that curiosity, along with genuine care for learners, to the Friends School community.
