I grew up in Minnesota and have been an educator, facilitator, and maker for nearly 20 years. I hold a B.A. in Studio Art from St. Olaf College and a Master’s in Education from Augsburg College, along with K-12 Visual Arts licensure, a Reading Endorsement, and a Colorado PDIS Level III credential. My career began as a classroom art teacher in the U.S. and Norway, later expanding into leadership development and organizational culture change. I believe that creativity is a language for emotions, identity, and connection. That same spirit lives in my classroom, blending curiosity, creativity, and inclusion in my teaching.
I’ve called Colorado home since 2017 and am so glad to be joining the Friends School community. Outside of school you’ll find me hiking, cross country skiing, making art, collecting heart-shaped rocks, and spending time with friends, my niblings or my librarian partner, Charles.
