Friends School and Watershed School are pleased to announce the name of our unified school: Watershed Friends School. The new name reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and the unique legacies of both schools within the Boulder community.

8th Grade’s Magical Retreat

What a fun, chaotic, hot, happy, amazing, crazy (but in a good way) first day of our Eighth-Grade Retreat (adjectives generated by eighth graders). Knowing we couldn’t check into the Retreat House until 3:00 p.m., the teachers decided to take the students to Lyons for a long hike and a cold plunge.

Immersion Week

In two weeks, Friends School’s 5th-8th grade students will participate in our Immersion Program, a week-long, immersive, interdisciplinary, and experiential program where students will engage in a variety of educational experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting.
