I am thrilled to be a part of Friends School, where I can combine my passion for education with a commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences. As a state-licensed teacher with over 15 years of diverse teaching experience—from administration to Kindergarten—I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment in the Kindergarten classroom.
Having grown up in Colorado, I am deeply connected to the rich landscape and culture of this beautiful state. My educational journey includes an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in educational psychology from CU (Go Buffs!). I have a strong interest in the science of reading, and I strive to implement innovative and developmentally appropriate strategies that support children’s literacy development.
I believe in the power of engaging, thoughtful curriculum, informed by a deep understanding of child development. Music is a significant part of my teaching approach—I love to sing, play guitar, and create songs that bring joy and foster community in the classroom.
As a mother of two daughters who attend Friends School, I am particularly excited to be part of a community that prioritizes quality education. My husband works as a meteorologist at NOAA, and together, we share a love for the natural sciences, which we enjoy exploring as a family. I look forward to contributing to the vibrant learning environment at Friends School and supporting every child’s journey.
